Arkados Energy Solutions (AES) energy conservation services (ECS) focus on the systems throughout commercial and industrial buildings that consume large amounts of energy. After the completion of an energy efficiency audit, an attempt is made to not only replace this equipment with high efficiency equipment, such as a Solar PV System, or convert it to high efficiency equipment, which is done for boilers, but also, we consider the implementation of automation and control solutions to ensure that the equipment is running properly and efficiently at all times.

Natural gas has been proven to be the cleanest of the fossil fuels, as evidenced by the Environmental Protection Agency’s findings and reports. Due to the passing of local laws related to cleaner air initiatives, the conversion of boilers to run on natural gas has increased significantly in the past several years.

Our engineers will act as project managers for your oil to natural gas boiler conversion from start to finish. We will specify and procure the most energy efficient and reliable equipment, file all the necessary applications with the Department of Buildings and with the local natural gas distribution company, as well as manage the installation of the equipment and ensure that all applicable codes and standards are adhered to.


According to the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), the US solar industry is expected to grow 119% in 2016.  The market for commercial and industrial solar PV system installations is growing due to the lower cost of installing solar panels, which has dropped by more than 70% over the past 10 years.

AES works with clients to design the most cost-effective system for their property, including rooftop, ground mount and carport systems, as well as working with the local electric utility to facilitate the interconnection.  We also maintain relationships with a number of financing sources and assist clients in negotiating and securing a beneficial power purchase agreement to help drive down long-term energy expenses.  AES also helps clients manage and prepare the application documentation submitted to federal, state and local utility agencies, and provide federal and state authorities with required tax-related documents.


The US Department of Energy (DOE) recognizes that LED (Light-emitting Diode) lighting, also known as “Solid State Lighting” is changing the lighting industry, and as such, they are developing standards to help US consumers benefit from the low wattage and long life of these systems. The benefits of LED Lighting for our customers include the following:

  • Efficiency.
    LEDs produce four times more light per watt than incandescent bulbs. Most LEDs are fully dimmable and completely programmable, allowing for reduced energy usage. The lamps provide a much more focused and “directed” light, which reduces the required level of overall light output, and allows for a complete color spectrum.
  • Lifespan.
    According to the DOE, LEDs can last up to 50,000 hours. LEDs are made of solid material, with no filament or tube, or bulb to break, and therefore are more durable than current incandescent and fluorescent lights.
  • Environmental.
    LEDs are solid state and contain no harmful gases, filaments, or toxic mercury, and therefore do not require special handling and disposal.
